【Ceramic Weave Basket Experience】
Clay that is stretched into thin, long strips are weaved together alternatively then molded into the desired shape. This is a completely different process than using a potter’s wheel or shaping by hand. In this experience you will create a large and impressive basket by using 2kg or more of fine and high quality clay.

■ Have fun creating your pottery one piece at a time.
Make ceramic pottery with natural materials by using a unique weaving method. This method takes effort and time, but you will have a great feeling when you finish. Imagine the overall shape, select the "mold", stretch the clay thinly, cut it into strips, and carefully weave it together. A staff member will support you during the experience.
■ Decorate your pottery with a fun design.
Some people are happy with a simple and useful weave basket. Other people may decide to add some decorations or a handle by using clay. It is easy to decorate and you can decorate the pottery however you would like. How about adding colored clay or engraving a pattern?
■ Birth by fire! Your creation will become a masterpiece when fired in the kiln.
We fire pottery in the kiln about every 1.5 months at our studio. If your pottery is handmade, you will be impressed by the handmade characteristic that is unique to the weaving method. This process is also very enjoyable for our studio staff since we get to see the creativity of our customers.
We have a large number of colors (glazes) to fire in the kiln at our studio.
You can choose your favorite color from the samples shown on the day of the experience.
