The Oushu Sendai Welcome Squad "DATE Bushotai" is an historical character acting group. The group includes various members, such as feudal lord Date Masamune, who introduce and promote the attractions of Sendai City and Miyagi Prefecture. Group members guide tourists, perform martial arts, and pose for photos at sightseeing spots around Sendai, including the Sendai Castle site. They also travel around the world for promotional activities.
