Tenzan Canal Bike Path Circuit - Remembering the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake Bike Tour

The Tenzan Canal was built in the Edo period (1603-1867) for the purpose of boat transportation, and is known as the longest group of canals in Japan connecting Sendai Bay and the coastline.

Let's take a ride along the canal bike path around the Sendai coastal area which is being reconstructed, including the Arahama Elementary School, a post-disaster memorial museum, and the Kaigan Park Adventure Plaza.

*Participation is open to elementary school students and older.

A guide will accompany and support the tour for peace of mind and to share local knowledge.
