At this time when the rice stalks grow tall and the tops begin to hang down, you can see many frogs, aquatic insects, dragonflies and Japanese rice fish which were born and raised in the rice fields. Let's take a peek into the world of tiny wildlife together!

1. Activity introduction (yearly cycle of rice field, brief explanation about creatures, safety information)
2. Gathering small creatures from the rice paddies (outside)
3. Careful observation of creatures (indoors)
4. Reflection and debriefing.
