A lot of creatures live in the rice fields and their surrounding waterways, ridges and reservoirs. When the rice is ready to harvest in the autumn, the area around the rice fields are very lively with the grasshoppers, dragonflies, and many insects. While walking the rice fields, let's collect actual grasshoppers and dragonflies living there. Then we carefully observe the collected insects indoors using a magnifying glass and a hand-held microscope, trying to identify their type, and listen to commentary about their lifestyles.

In this event, you will catch frogs, dragonflies, etc., then let's study them to find out the species! Through this observation, you can have fun while learning that many creatures live in rice fields and understand the deep connection between farming and wildlife.
