One of the real pleasures is stepping into the homely interior unique to family-run businesses.

-About Bashoen Tea Shop-
Our shop was founded in Sendai over 330 years ago. Our Japanese tea specialty shop is loved by locals. We pride ourselves in providing high quality Japanese tea for everyday enjoyment. Our matcha green tea is always freshly ground.
We are not a shop designed for visiting tourists, but a place for locals to gather and tea lovers to explore. However, since we hope to share more about the characteristics of Japanese tea, we are offering this program for interested travelers.
