The “Basho Course” is a one-way journey between Marine Gate Shiogama (in Shiogama City) to Matsushima Bay ferry wharf.

We recommend the “Masamune” course if coming by car, and the “Basho” course from Shiogama to Matsushima if traveling by JR train. Marine Gate Shiogama (recommended start of Basho course) is located close to Honshiogama Station. Trains traveling Sendai Station to Honshiogama Station run every 10-15 minutes.
