Rinnoji Temple
Rinnoji Temple was first established in 1441 in northern Fukushima Prefecture by the Date clan. Whenever the clan changed residences in the past, they would bring the temple with them. Rinnoji Temple settled in its current location in 1602, which was immediately after Lord Masamune founded the city of Sendai in 1600.
In addition to our activities below, for a small fee you may stroll the temple garden to view a 3-story pagoda reflecting itself on the pond.
