First of all, chant the “Heart Sutra” (“Hannya Shingyo”) in front of the principal object of worship. Then move to an area to do “shakyo” sutra copying. Using brush and ink, copy the Heart Sutra. You may not have enough time to finish writing, but is more important to remain quiet and calm then to finish writing. You also have the option to trace images of Buddha.
