Handmade Fried Kamaboko Fishcake Workshop
Staff will provide instructions on how to prepare and fry, so anyone can enjoy this experience with peace of mind. You can even bring home fried kamaboko nuggets made by staff as a souvenir!

“Kamaboko” fish cake is popular in Miyagi Prefecture thanks to the abundant fishing grounds along the Sanriku Coast. In this workshop we want visitors to experience the attraction of fried kamaboko. Making kamaboko with your own hands will be an even more memorable experience!
After making and eating the irresistible treat, explore the rest of the facilities. You’ll find shopping, restaurants, and works of art. Don’t forget to visit the adjacent Tanabata Hall to learn about Sendai’s most popular “Star Festival.” You even have a chance to make your own Tanabata decorations.
First a staff member will perform a demonstration.
(The completed fried nuggets will be given as a souvenir)

【By Public Transportation】
Take the Tozai subway line to “Arai Station.” From there you can walk 25 minutes, or use a bus.
Board the bus bound for "Wakabayashi Gymnasium / Tobu Industrial Area" at bus stop No. 16 at the Arai Station bus pool. Alternatively, board the bus bound for "Okada/Arahama" at bus stop No. 18. In either case, depart at “Oroshi-machi Higashi 5 Chome Kita” bus stop.
